Responsibilities
Peraton is searching for a talented Senior Software Developer to become part of Peraton's Citizens Security & Public Services and State and Local team. This position is fully remote.
The prospective Senior Application SME will develop, create, and modify various aspects of Autosys and sFTP applications used throughout our client's environment. They will be responsible for Autosys application integrations, upgrades, and customizations. They will be responsible for system modifications, creation and maintenance of interface programs, and the support of day-to-day activities.
Day to Day Roles and Responsibilities:
A qualified candidate will perform the following duties and responsibilities, but are not limited to:
• Utilize professional experience in Autosys for scheduling, monitoring, and reporting on a daily basis.
• Configure and schedule jobs within Autosys, ensuring adherence to specifications, including application customizations and interfaces.
• Conduct design reviews regularly and provide recommendations for improvements.
• Coordinate and execute various database-related tasks as part of routine responsibilities.
• Demonstrate the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Display a proactive approach to writing specifications using pre-written templates.
• Record and log all modifications performed on the PeopleSoft system as an integral part of daily tasks.
• Be available to work nights and weekends when required, contributing to seamless operations.
•Uphold a detail-oriented approach in all aspects of day-to-day responsibilities.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree and 8 years of experience or a Master's degree and 6 years of experience or a High School Diploma and 12 years of experience
• US Citizenship or Green Card
• Candidate must have experience creating/modifying and managing Linux shell scripts from a command line.
• Demonstrated expertise in developing and maintaining Linux shell scripts within an enterprise environment.
• Must be proficient with vi or other editor.
• Experience managing Microsoft OS startup via command line.
• Proficient in developing and maintaining Windows batch files.
• Experience with PowerShell.
• Background in a production support environment, showcasing skills in troubleshooting and performance tuning.
• Experience in utilizing sFTP within an enterprise setting.
• Demonstrated experience working with PGP Encryption.
• Experience in managing and updating SSL Certificates is highly advantageous.
• Capability and inclination to craft specifications using pre-written templates.
• Proficiency in recording and logging all modifications performed on the PeopleSoft system. Target Salary Range
$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
