Role Description
The Digital Assessment team is committed to making higher education accessible to every student through innovative technology, building cutting-edge applications to deliver College Board’s suite of assessments.

- Working closely with product owners, architects, user experience, testing centers, students, and external partners
As a Senior Engineer on the Digital Assessment team, you are a leader, collaborator, and innovator.
- Strong interest in understanding and improving products for students
- Bringing ideas and love of coding to support and enhance applications
- Contributing to all phases of software engineering including requirements definition, application design, coding, coaching, testing, deploying, and support
Qualifications
- 7+ years of professional software development experience
- Strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving skills
- Experience working in an Agile / Scrum / Mob development environment
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with JavaScript (React and Node), Python, and TypeScript
- Strong knowledge of the AWS cloud platform and experience with AWS resources
- Experience with version control using Git and test automation
- Ability and enthusiasm to learn new technologies
- Good communicator with practical decision-making skills
- Proven track record of training and coaching less experienced teammates
- Authorized to work in the US
Requirements
- Experience with AWS resources such as Lambda, SNS, SQS, S3, OpenSearch, Step Functions, IAM, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, DynamoDB
- Experience provisioning and managing Cloud infrastructure as code using AWS CLI, AWS CloudFormation, and/or AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK)
